Plastic Injected Moulded Masks

This method is typically recommended by RSC when the production volumes are relatively high and when the components to be masked are to be free of damage. A vast number of components used by the automotive and mobile phone industries represent this application.

The injection moulding tools are usually produced from CAD data and from information obtained by digitising actual components. The nature of injection moulding enables fine-tuning of masking lines. Repeatability and consistency are achieved within a large number of components with this manufacturing method. The masks are designed to flex and adapt to potential dimensional variations within the components.

Injection moulded masks are easily cleaned and hence, re-usable.
